"Yahoo Go" is Gone


Finally, a mobile portal Yahoo Go now 'deceased'. In exchange, Yahoo will expand Yahoo Mobile homepage, which has been introduced since the beginning of this year.

"Yahoo! Will abolish Yahoo! Go 2.0 and 3.0, and develop the mobile experience more pleasant such as Yahoo! Mobile homepage," wrote Yahoo in an official statement received VIVAnews Friday, November 20, 2009.

Yahoo Go is a portal service for mobile devices, to access the various features on Yahoo, ranging from e-mail, contact, calendar, photos, and search engines.

Yahoo Go was first introduced in the event the Consumer Electronics Show 2006 in Las Vegas. In 2007, Yahoo and Taiwanese vendor HTC phone, working together to introduce Yahoo Go 2.0 and Yahoo Go on Windows Mobile platform

Recently Yahoo released a version 3.0 and Yahoo finally decided to focus on the Yahoo Mobile homepage. Yahoo Mobile own page now comes with the updated content dynamically with pagination, RSS reader that has been perfected.

Yahoo Mobile currently supports photos, and able to see more headlines from your favorite feeds, without the need to update the content.

Through the Yahoo Mobile homepage, users can directly access the e-mail from multiple accounts, access-site social networking sites like Facebook or a photo to Flickr.

Today, these services are available through multiple platforms, such as RIM, Microsoft Windows Mobile, and Nokia. According to Yahoo, Yahoo Mobile services can now be used on more than 1900 kinds of mobile devices on the market.
